“Nachammai Achi Kancheepuram Handloom Silk Centre” is the brain child of Shri.Ramaswamy Chettiar, an entrepreneur from the trading community in Karaikudi. Nachammai silks started its operation on 16th June, 1982 with 6 employees and 25 weavers. Today with the hard work of several people, we are family of 20 employees and more than 200 dedicated weavers. In 1994, the ownership of Nachammai silks shifted to Prof.V.T.Manickam Chettiar, 2nd generation in the family run business. Currently, it is headed by his son Mr.M.Velan.
We manufacture pure Kanchipuram silk sarees, scarves, and dress material. We have wholesale buyers, as well as retails customers.
